God is good and July is hot!

cutest smile!

This past week we celebrated America's 235th 'birthday', commemorating the adoption of the declaration of independence on the 4th of July in 1776. Which is in more simple words when the US declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain...  this is celebrated with patriotic picnics, barbeques and fireworks!  Then our friend Camilla (tante Milla for Ariana) left for Norway for the month! we went to the airport with Amber to see her off, then hung out at Utica square! Ariana now eats a little bite of fruit every day, she loves banana, nectarine! And... a mile stone; She can sit up! ...Okay, she still tips over after a while, but she's really holding herself up well! She loves to go to the swimming pool, she just splashes and kicks away! I look forward to get her into a baby swimming class, that will be fun!
Saturday we met up with Julie, Jennifer and Will, these pictures were taken at Cherry Berry to eat frozen yogurt, mommy's favorite icecream! so much fun!

goodbye June! hello July!

Happy 4th of July!

I'm ready for the fireworks!

June was a fun month! My 4th month consisted of lots of babbles, giggles and smiles....  I eat rice cereal every day just before my bath time! And every now and then mommie lets me try new flavors, she lets me suck on her fruit, today we got carried away with blackberries (bramen)!

sucking on blackberries makes the cutest mess!

I love bath time! I love Zwistal and Baby Bee!

a note from mommy

Often I hear people say "oh I can't wait till she... starts to talk, starts to crawl, starts to walk, etc. And everytime I hear this, I say.. Oh! I CAN wait!
I make it a point to enjoy every day, every stage and every milestone!
Time flies as it is!
In my spirit I hear the Dutch words...

geniet... geniet... geniet.

I remember being with my mom in the summer of 2009, exactly 2 yrs ago...
we were sitting her in her bed in her home and we were talking about the future and about me becoming a mother someday.
This is what she told me, to enjoy every day, every moment, time goes by so fast and one day you look back and wonder where it has gone!

 enjoy... enjoy... enjoy.

It still resonates in my spirit.
So whenever my energy is low or my patience is being tried... I look at my beautiful babygirl and remind myself that these moments will not last forever, that one day I will long for how much she needs me or I will smile at the thought of her cry...
